Services

Psychological Consultations has been providing services since 1995. Our treatment approach is based on the belief in a comprehensive care model, emphasizing the importance of the connection between the mind and the body. We utilize an integrative conceptualization for each client, beginning with an initial review of each client’s needs. The initial review is typically followed by assignment to a staff member based on the needs of the client and the area of specialization required. We are experienced in providing a wide range of comprehensive outpatient psychological services:

Psychotherapy

We have extensive experience providing therapy for individuals, couples, families and groups. Our therapists specialize in a wide range of areas, including families and children, families coping with divorce and separation, the LGBTQ communities, substance abuse, HIV/AIDS, obsessive compulsive disorders, depression, anxiety, and many others. Our therapists are trained in a diverse range of therapeutic techniques and approaches, including Adlerian, analytic, psychodynamic, emotion focused, humanistic/existential, Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR), hypnosis, and Cognitive Behavioral Therapies (CBT). Our therapists are also trained in play therapy and other techniques specifically geared for children, adolescents, and families.

Psychological Testing

Psychological Consultations specializes in comprehensive psychological and neuropsychological assessments. We often incorporate psychological evaluations into therapy to aid in treatment. We also provide assessments relating to a wide range of medical needs and for many referring physicians, including primary care physicians, psychiatrists, and neurologists. We provide a full spectrum of psychological and neuropsychological assessments. Clients of all ages may benefit from assessment for school or occupational needs. Our practitioners have experience consulting with other professionals to provide collaborative care regarding assessment outcomes.

In addition to diagnosis of psychological disorders (e.g., depression, anxiety, etc.), we provide assessments for various other referral questions including:

  • Diagnosis of ADHD and/or learning disabilities
  • Documentation of special needs/accommodations in educational settings
  • Achievement and aptitude testing
